About Us

Sunnyvale Alpacas are breeders of quality superfine Huacaya ALPACAS.

We commenced our breeding program in May 2000 with a small herd of 7 alpacas.  Six females (of which four were pregnant) and one wether. Today we have a herd of 36 Alpacas.

We are a registered members of the Australian Alpaca Association,  Q-Alpaca, SRS® Alpacas International and the

Boer Goat Breeders Association of Australia and hold a Q-Alpaca MN1 herd status.

We Offer

• Education and ongoing advice including after sales assistance with animal husbandry.

• Quality agistment facilities on 200 acres.

• Sale of Alpaca fibre, carded fleece & knitting yarns

• To develop alpacas which are "homozygous" for as many positive qualitative traits as possible. 
• To breed a successful herd of award winning alpacas.
•  To make a significant contribution to Australia's fibre clip.
•  To run an efficient alpaca farm on small acreage.

Company Profile

Sunnyvale Alpacas are located at Bigga, in the Southern Tablelands, 45 mins north of Crookwell or 1&1/2  hour north west of Goulburn in New South Wales, Australia.

We are members of the Australian Alpaca Association  in the Southern NSW Region and SRS® Alpacas International Pty Ltd .

We are also members of the Boer Goat Breeders Association of Australia and breed Boer Goats to "meat" the market .

Sunnyvale Alpacas was founded by John and Rosemary Smith in May 2000.

John has an extensive background in computers and Rosemary is an accountant by profession.

Today we are both enjoying a totally new lifestyle breeding Alpacas and Boer Goats.
